Celebrities Attend Single Mom Planet Vision Awards Gala

LOS ANGELES - Actresses Lisa Langlois ("The L Word"), Irina Voronina ("I-Carly"), Chase Masterson ("The Flash") and other notables attended the Single Mom Planet Vision Awards on April 28. The fund-raising event benefited Single Mom Planet's work assisting needy single mothers in the Los Angeles area.
The event, held at Maggiano's restaurant at The Grove shopping complex in the city's upscale Fairfax District, presented awards to a number of notable single mothers who have excelled despite challenges and hardships.
Neferteri Plessy, founder and president of Single Mom Planet, led the awards presentation with seven notable honorees. They were Beverly "Bam" Crawford, CEO of Bam Crawford Ministries; Kerri Zane, author of “It Takes All 5;" Lisa Robyn Deutsch, president of Soulful Design; Candace Boyd, Regional Manager, The Melt Restaurants;” N.D. Brown, CEO of Tri Destined Studios, and Trey Haley, President of Tri Destined Studios; Devona Roy, COO, Excel Prep Academy; and Melanie Mack, CEO, Power of the Single Mom.
“We have an amazing group of honorees who have done so much to help and inspire single mothers with their incredible talents and vision,” Plessy said.

The fund-raising event aims to raise awareness of the needs and issues facing single mothers and their children, and was produced by Single Mom Planet in association with Tinna White, of TU Productions. Single Mom Planet is a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization, dedicated to the assisting single mothers and their children. Through interactive training and programs, single mothers are provided the tools necessary to provide for their families and get ahead.
Stella Rosa, the semi-sparkling wine brand, was a major supporter of the event.
