LOS ANGELES - Sooner of later, it had to happen. Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar recreated their infamous kiss in the 1999 teen drama "Cruel Intentions" at the Rockwell Table & Stage’s “The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions” in Los Angeles Thursday night.
The two stars attended the performance along with fellow cast member Reese Witherspoon when they responded to the crowd's encouragement to recreate the kiss, which was featured prominently in the film. It earned Blair and Gellar Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards at the time.
The film was directed by Roger Kumble and was based upon the film "Dangerous Liaisons," and brought to fame the then flegling stars as well as Ryan Phillippe who played Witherspoon's love interest in the film and in real life.
The play was directed by Lindsey Rosin and stars Molly McCook, Katie Stevens and John Krause.
