Chloe Grace Moretz Set to Star in 'Brain on Fire'


LOS ANGELES - Chloe Grace Moretz is set to star on in the upcoming film "Brain on Fire" which is the adaptation of Susannah Cahalan’s best-selling memoir produced for the screen by Charlize Theron.

The 18-year-old Moretz replaces Dakota Fanning who had earlier left the project to be directed by Gerard Barrett due to scheduling conflicts.

The film tells the story of a young woman's rapid fall into insanity due to a mysterious illness. Moretz and Theron had worked together in the film "Dark Places," set for release by A24 on Aug. 7. Moretz is known for her work in last year's crime drama "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington and the violent,

super-hero themed "Kick-Ass" (2010).
