Lucy Hale Comes to 'Riverdale' for 'Katy Keene' Crossover Episode

LOS ANGELES - Lucy Hale is set to make a guest appearance on the hit CW show "Riverdale," ahead of the premiere of her own Riverdale spin-off "Katy Keene" in a special crossover episode.

According to People magazine, Hale’s character is seen chatting with Riverdale regular Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes). The two women hold hands are they appear to have a serious conversation while sitting at a bar.

Although little is known about the episode, executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Michael Grassi previously revealed that Veronica would return to New York City, her old stomping grounds, where she runs into her old friend.

The Riverdale spin-off follows the story of Katy Keene, an aspiring fashion designer who is trying to make it in the big city. The series cast includes Ashleigh Murray, Jonny Beauchamp and Julia Chan as part of Katy’s circle of friends.

The Riverdale and Katy Keene crossover episode is scheduled to air Feb. 5, followed by the premiere of Katy Keene the following night on the CW.
