LOS ANGELES – Sammy Hagar and Gene Simmons are joined by some of the biggest rock stars of the Seventies and Eighties in the new trailer for “Rock Camp,” a documentary about a camp that has given average Joes a chance to jam with rock stars.
“You would have a 15-year-old kid playing drums and a dentist on guitar,” Alice Cooper said in the trailer. “If this band were a real band, it’d be the weirdest band ever, but cool.”
David Fishof established Rock n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in the late 1990s, by featuring some of rock’s biggest names and inviting fans, for a sizable fee, the chance to realize their rock star fantasy to play with their music idols.
The documentary features Hagar, Alice Cooper, Roger Daltrey, Slash, Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Joe Perry, and several others. The film follows four campers, chronicling their experiences as they learn to play music and finally perform on stage. The film is directed and produced by Douglas Blush.
“Rock Camp” is scheduled will get an online release on Jan. 15 and will go On Demand on Feb. 16.
