Comedy Central to Delete Jokes About the Late Paul Walker from Bieber Roast

LOS ANGELES - Comedy Central says it will remove any jokes referencing the late "Fast and Furious" actor Paul Walker from its upcoming comedy special roast of singer Justin Bieber.

During Saturday's taping of the special, a mix of comedians and actors told a number of controversial jokes some of whom were greeted by groans from the audience. But when veteran comic Jeff Roast made a reference to the late actor in a joke, many of those present, including actor/musician Ludacris appeared angered by the reference, motioning with his hand as if asking for producers to cut the segment.

Walker, who is known for his role in the popular film series, died in a fatal auto accident on Nov. 30 2013 in Santa Clarita, Calif. He was a passenger in a car driven by his friend Roger Rodas when it slammed into a tree at high speeds. Both men died instantly.

Walker had been in the middle of filming "Furious 7" when the accident took place.

"The Roast of Justin Bieber" is set to air on Monday, March 30 on Comedy Central.
