'Sharknado 3' Gets a New Title and Air Date from Syfy
LOS ANGELES - "Sharknado 3," the latest edition of Syfy's popular movie series is getting a new name and an air date from the network. The Tara Reid-Ian Ziering vehicle has been renamed "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!" and is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22.
Original stars Reid and Ziering will reprise their roles as April and Fin. They will be joined by David Hasselhoff, who will play Fin's father, and Bo Derek, as April's mother.
The cast will include a slew of cameos by a variety of stars and personalities such as Mark Cuban, Jerry Springer, Chris Jericho, Chris Kirkpatrick, Cindy Margolis, Ann Coulter, Rick Fox and others. Anthony C. Ferrante will be returning to direct the film. Syfy, which is owned by NBCUniversal, has seen huge spikes in viewership from the premiere of the series' first two movies and is eyeing another big premiere from "Sharknado 3."
