Iconic Rockers Van Halen to Appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel' And 'Ellen'
LOS ANGELES - Iconic 80s rockers Van Halen have agreed to perform on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday, March 30, and Tuesday, March 31.
The publicity-shy band has also agreed to appear on "Ellen" on April 2. The two TV bookings come just after the band announced a 38-date North American tour beginning July 5 in Auburn, Wash. A number of the tour dates will feature Kenny Wayne Shepherd opening for the band.
The band's new album "Tokyo Dome Live In Concert" is set to release on March 31, making it Van Halen's first live album with original lead singer David Lee Roth since he left the band in 1985, then returned in 2007.
The group recorded the 23-song album in Japan in 2013, featuring Roth, Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen and Wolfgang Van Halen, who replaced original bassist Michael Anghony.
The band is set to reissue remastered versions of their albums "Van Halen," and "1984," with plans to reissue remastered versions of all the 1980s albums featuring Roth on lead vocals.
