Aly Michalka Joins Chevy Chase Comedy Pilot for ABC

LOS ANGELES - Aly Michalka, known for her role in the CW's cheerleader drama "Hellcats," has been tapped to join the Chevy Chase comedy pilot for ABC.

The statuesque Michalka will co-star opposite Chase in the pilot which is also executive produced by the former Saturday Night Live star. The untitled project is produced by Brad Copeland, Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios.

The pilot will feature Chase and Beverly D'Angelo, who played his wife in the 80s "Vacation" comedies, as a couple living in selfish retirement when they find out they must raise their grandchildren. Michalka plays their daughter Molly.

The cast includes Maulik Pancholy, who played Jonathan in NBC's "30 Rock," Grace Kaufman (Bad Teacher) and Ed Oxenbould.
