'Inglourious Basterds' & Other Films to Debut on Netflix in May
LOS ANGELES - Quentin Tarantino's ultra violent World War II action flick "Inglourious Basterds" starring Brad Pitt is coming to Netflix next month, along with a slew of films and series, including a lot Reese Witherspoon's Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde" and "Legally Blonde 2."
The films set to premiere in May include the John Ridley "Jimi: All Is by My Side," a drama based on Jimi Hendrix's life as he left New York City for London, where his career took off. they also include the rock'n'roll-themed "The Last Waltz," a classic 1978 concert film directed Martin Scorsese that features the legendary rockers The Band, which features Rick Danko and Levon Helm in their final performance as a band.
The lineup also includes 2005's "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio," starring Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson, in a story about Evelyn Ryan (Moore), a woman with 10 children, who enters a commercial jingle-writing contest. The film was based on a true story.
