VH1 Drops Plans to Bring Back 'The Osbournes'
LOS ANGELES - VH1 has dropped plans to bring back "The Osbournes," the MTV show that kickstarted family-themed reality shows, Variety reported. No other details were reported.
It was just last November when Sharon Osbourne announced on the daytime talk show "The Talk" that VH1 had agreed to reboot the show which originally ran on MTV from 2002 to 2005. "The Osbournes" followed the day-to-day lives of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, his manager-wife Sharon and two of their children, Jack and Kelly. Their other daughter Aimee refused to participate in the original show.
"The Osbournes" one of the latest reality series on the comeback as networks look to their past series for possible reboots. Fox revived "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader," BET is set to bring back Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd" while NBC was considering the same for "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" with Nick Cannon as host.
