LOS ANGELES - Despite the fact the Olsen Twins won't be involved, Bob Saget has agreed to reprise his role as family patriarch Danny Tanner in the upcoming Netflix reboot of ABC's 90s family sitcom "Full House" called "Fuller House."

The news was Tweeted today by John Stamos, who played “Uncle” Jesse Katsopolis in the original show and will guest star and serve as a producer in the follow-up. Saget played the easygoing family head for the series' full run from 1987 to 1995.

The new series will reportedly focus on Candace Cameron Bure’s character D.J. who is the eldest of the three girls in the original series. In the reboot, D.J. is widowed and in need of help from her siblings to assist her raise her children.

Earlier this month, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who alternately played Michelle on the earlier series, reportedly told show producers they were not interested in joining the new show. But original cast members Dave Coulier, Andrea Barber, Jodie Sweetin and Lori Loughlin will reprise their roles in "Fuller House."

Miller-Boyett Productions and Jeff Franklin Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television for Netflix will produce the new series.
