'Jaws' Returns to Theaters on its 40th Anniversary


LOS ANGELES - "Jaws," the original man-eating shark moviegoers got to know nearly four decades ago is returning to movie theaters this summer to mark its 40th anniversary.

The iconic film will make its return on June 21 and 24 when 500 theaters across the country screen the film as part of its anniversary celebration presented by Universal Pictures, Turner Movie Classics and Fathom Events.

The screenings will feature an introduction from Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz that discusses the legacy of the thriller.

The 1975 film, directed by Steven Spielberg, stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss who play the only men willing to

set out to sea to stop a giant shark from terrorizing a small island community in New England.
