Country Singer Randy Howard Is Shot to Death
LOS ANGELES - Authorities in Tennessee say country music singer Randy Howard was shot to death Tuesday night at his home.
Police said Howard has been killed in a gunfight with a bounty hunter who was trying to take him into custody.n According to sources, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating the Tuesday night shooting of 65-year-old Howard in Lynchburg.
Howard is known for having performed with country music stars Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.TBI spokesman Josh DeVine told reporters that the bounty hunter showed up at Howard's home to take him into custody for missing a court appearance. Howard opened fire, DeVine said, and the bounty hunter shot back, killing Howard. DeVine said the bounty hunter had been trying to detain him on a warrant charging him with fourth-offense DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and for
driving on a revoked license.
