Kevin Spacey's 'Elvis & Nixon' to be Distributed by Amazon

LOS ANGELES - Kevin Spacey's next film, the historical drama "Elvis & Nixon" is heading to Amazon, Variety is reporting.
The film, which tells the story of the monumental 1970 meeting between the King of Rock (Michael Shannon) and the then sitting President of the United States, Richard M. Nixon (Spacey), is set to premiere in theaters through Bleeker Street as part of the distribution deal with Amazon.
"Elvis & Nixon" also stars Ashley Benson ("Pretty Little Liars"), Evan Peters ("Kick Ass"), Colin Hanks ("King Kong"), Johnny Knoxville ("Jackass: The Movie") and Tate Donovan ("Hercules"). It is directed by Liza Johnson and produced by Cassian Elwes, Holly Wiersma and Cary Elwes.
Cary Elwes wrote the script which focuses on the unlikely meeting between Elvis and Nixon which was highlighted by the rock singer asking Nixon to appoint him as a special agent for drug enforcement.
