CeeLo Green Single Pays Tribute to Robin Williams


LOS ANGELES - CeeLo Green is paying tribute to the late Robin Williams in the first single from "Heart Blanche," his first solo album in five years, scheduled for release in November.

The song, titled, “Robin Williams,” is a tribute to the late actpr and while also honoring other celebrities who died at a young age such as John Belushi, Richard Pryor and Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Williams committed suicide on Aug. 11, 2014 at his home in Paradise Cay, Calif. at the age of 63.In the initial report released on Aug. 12, the Marin County Sheriff's Office deputy coroner reported that Williams had hung himself with a belt and died from asphyxiation. It was revealed after his death that Williams had been suffering from severe depression, and had been sleeping in a separate bedroom than the one his wife used due to restlessness and anxiety caused by his Parkinson's Disease.

The new single made its debut on CeeLo’s website, in an interactive video where the lyrics of the song appear in a Google search bar while being sung, thus changing the search results as the words change. Viewers can interact with the video by clicking onscreen tabs, changing the nature of the search from “web” to “images” to “shopping” and more.
