Fox Cancels Ryan Seacrest's 'Knock, Knock Live' After 2 Episodes


LOS ANGELES - After lackluster ratings for its first two shows, Fox has pulled plug on "Knock, Knock Live," a Ryan Seacrest-hosted reality show.

The show's premiere episode on July 21 averaged a 0.5 rating in 18-49 demographic and plled in 1.7 million viewers overall - the smallest demo rating for any series premiere this summer on a major broadcast network.

"Knock, Knock Live," 9 p.m. time slot will be filled by a one-hour repeat episode of “The Last Man on Earth” next week, and encores of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “The Last Man on Earth."

The show features celebrities surprising regular people when they knock on their front door to give them a prize. The July 28 episode featured Justin Bieber. The show is produced by Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions.
