'American Horror Story' Reveals its New Cast & Characters - Including Lady Gaga
LOS ANGELES - FX's hit "American Horror Story: Hotel" has revealed its new cast and characters for the upcoming fall season - which includes the addition of Lady Gaga who will play the owner of a haunted hotel.
At Friday's Television Critics Association press tour, co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk gave new details about the new cast and characters for the upcoming fourth season of the show. Murphy said that the idea for the show was inspired by a surveillance video from a Los Angeles hotel that appeared two years ago that showed a girl in an elevator who was then never seen again.
The cast features Lady Gaga as hotel owner Elizabeth, who gets involved in same-sex relationships as well as a relationship with a male character played by Matt Bomer, who plays ladies man, Donovan. Sarah Paulson, who returns for a fourth season, plays a hotel resident who becomes involved with a detective, played by Wes Bentley. Kathy Bates plays hotel manager Iris, who often clashes with Sarah Paulson's character. Angela Bassett is back with the show as she plays a sexy character who has a romantic relationship with Lady Gaga's character Elizabeth, who often clashes with a detective who also has eyes for Elizabeth.
Chloe Sevigny is another returning actor to the series. She plays Alex Lowell, wife of the Wes Bentley character. Cheyenne Jackson and Denis O'Hare also are series regulars.
“American Horror Story: Hotel” is set premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7 on FX.
