LOS ANGELES - The full trailer for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Western action/adventure "The Hateful Eight" has been released.
The movie tells the story of the plight of one woman (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who heads to a hanging, unless someone can stop the seeming ruthless hangman (Kurt Russell). Other members of these eight unusual strangers are Samuel L. Jackson, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth and Bruce Dern.
“For me it has more of a Western Iceman Cometh kind of vibe about it,” Tarantino told Entertainment Weekly “[It’s] a bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other. That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle,”
Tarantino has said "The Hateful Eight" is inspired by TV Westerns like "Bonanza" and "The High Chaparral."
"The Hateful Eight" is produced by The Weinstein Co., with producers Richard N. Gladstein, Shannon McIntosh and Stacy Sher. The movie is set for release on Christmas Day.
