Rodrigo Garcia's Jesus Film with Ewan McGregor Gets Distribution Deal

LOS ANGELES - Broad Green Pictures has agreed to distribute Rodrigo García’s religious-themed drama "Last Days In The Desert," starring Ewan McGregor in which he plays both Jesus and the Devil. The film originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
The deal puts sets a tentative 2016 release date as part of a partnership with Tugg and marketing firm Different Drummer which will put the film in non-theatrical segments in local markets
Broad Green is coming off the successful debut this past weekend of its Robert Redford-Nick Nolte starrer, "A Walk In The Woods" this weekend.
The film, which also features Tye Sheridan, Ciarán Hinds and Ayelet Zure, follows Jesus in an imagined segment of his life during his 40 days of fasting and praying in the desert. He is shown struggling with the Devil over the fate of an ordinary family facing a crisis. Producing are Bonnie Curtis, Julie Lynn of Mockingbird Pictures and Wicks Walker of Division Films. Hanway Films is handling international sales.
