'SPECTRE' Stays on top of the Weekend Box Office for 2nd Straight Weekend

LOS ANGELES - Sony's newest James Bond feature "SPECTRE" remained on top of the weekend box office for the second straight week, earning $35.40 million.
Despite lacking the critical reception that 2012's "Skyfall" received, "SPECTRE" has now posted $130.7 million in the U.S., with a worldwide total of $543.8 million. The new release stayed ahead of the kid-friendly "The Peanuts Movie," which came in second with $24.20 million for a two-week total of $82.49 million.
CBS Films' new entry, the holiday-themed "Love the Coopers," starring Diane Keaton and John Goodman earned a respectable $8.40 million over three days despite little marketing support. In fourth place as Fox's "The Martian" which continued strong with $6.72 million for a seven-week total of $207.41 million. In fifth place was Warner Bros. take on the trapped Chilean miners "The 33" which earned $5.84 million.

10. "The Last Witch Hunter" (Lionsgate/Summit) $1.50 million for a four-week total of $26.08 million
