CBS Reveals New 'Star Trek' Series Trailer and Logo
LOS ANGELES - CBS Studios debuted a trailer and revealed the official logo for the new Star Trek series today at the CBS upfront presentation for advertisers at Carnegie Hall in New York City. CBS Chairman and CEO Les Moonves introduced the first elements for the show, which is set to premiere in January, 2017.
Bryan Fuller ("Hannibal") will serve as executive producer/show runner, Alex Kurtzman as executive producer and Nicholas Meyer who wrote "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan," "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home," and "Star Trek IV: the Undiscovered Country," will serve as writer and consulting producer on the show.
A special premiere episode will air on CBS and all subsequent first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access. The series will also be available on television stations and platforms around the world. Production is set to start this fall in Toronto.
