SNL Election Special Set to Air on Nov. 7

NEW YORK — NBC’s “The 2016 SNL Election Special” will retrace the highlights of the current presidential campaign through clips of recent political "Saturday Night Live" sketches.

The hour-long telecast is set to air Monday, Nov. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

So far this fall, “Saturday Night Live” is delivering its most-watched season at this point in eight years, averaging 7.322 million viewers in national “most current” ratings from Nielsen Media Research, as well as a 2.19 rating in adults 18-49. “SNL” is adding substantial viewership via time-shifting and video on demand, with the Oct. 1 season premiere growing by +3.897 million viewers overall going from “live plus same day” to “live plus seven day” official-national Nielsens (8.297 million to 12.194 million). In L+SD ratings, “SNL” delivered its most-watched season premiere since 2008 and in L+7 Nielsens, it was the most-watched “SNL” debut since 1994.

“Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.
