Dakota Fanning to Star in TNT's 'The Alienist'
LOS ANGELES - Dakota Fanning, known for her recent turn as a teenage 60s radical in "American Pastoral," is set to star opposite Luke Evans ("Dracula Untold") and Daniel Bruhl ("Inglourious Basterds") in the upcoming TNT drama series "The Alienist." The Drama is based upon Caleb Carr's best-selling book "The Alienist," which tells the story of Crime reporter, John Moore (Evans), who meets with psychologist, Dr. Laszlo Kreizler (Bruhl), to investigate a serial killer in New York during the late 19th century. Fanning will portray Sara Howard, a headstrong secretary who works for the police department, according to the network. The actress is set to star in the upcoming "Oceans 8," with Olivia Munn and Matt Damon, and the comedy drama "Please Stand By," with Toni Collette and Alice Eve.
