Shia LaBeouf’s ‘Man Down’ to Be Pulled from UK Theater After Grossing Just $26

LOS ANGELES – “Man Down,” Shia Labeouf’s new film has been pulled from its only theater screening the film in the United Kingdom after earning $26 or just three tickets.

The film’s gross is unprecedentedly low despite the fact that it’s in just one theater. It received a low 15 percent from Rotten Tomatoes and a slew of negative reviews. , The film tells the story of a former U.S. Marine Gabriel Drummer in a post-apocalyptic America who searches desperately for the whereabouts of his son, accompanied by his best friend and a survivor.

Some have speculated that “Man Down” may have been hurt at the box office because it was simultaneously released digitally on demand. The film is set for release on DVD and Blu-ray next month, according to published reports.

“Man Down” was widely panned when it opened in limited release in the United States in December 2016. The film stars LaBeouf and Kate Mara, and marked the reunion of LaBeouf with director Dito Montiel, whom he had previously worked with on 2006’s “A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints.”
