NBC and Seth Meyers are Developing a ‘Munsters’ Reboot


LOS ANGELES – Seth Meyers and Jill Kargman, the star and creator of “Odd Mom Out” are reportedly developing a reimagined version of the classic 60s sitcom “The Munsters.”

Based upon the by the original monster-themed series, the comedy focuses on odd-ball family that struggles to fit in in modern-day hipster Brooklyn. Kargman is said to be writing the script and will serve as executive producer with Meyers and Mike Shoemaker, his producing partner in their company Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions which will produce along with Universal Television

Universal produced the original sitcom, which ran from 1964-1966 on CBS and produced 70 episodes. Meyers and Shoemaker, who also executive produce NBC's midseason single-camera comedy “A.P. Bio” which stars Glenn Howerton and Patton Oswalt. Shoemaker is the showrunner on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.”
