LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Acclaimed actor Brando Eaton, of the Showtime hit series “Dexter” is helping launch the Indiegogo campaign for the upcoming science fiction motion picture “Dead Stream.”

“I am very excited to be a part of this amazing project,” Eaton said. “It’s a film about the convergence of technology, corporate greed and the growing disconnect of human interaction and it’s an exciting story that I hope people will get behind to make it a reality.”

The “Dead Stream” Indiegogo page can be found here: https://igg.me/at/deadstream The campaign which aims to raise $40,000 continues through Dec. 17.

Eaton, who will portray software developer Michael in the film, is lending his voice in support of the crowdfunding drive through his social media as well as through personal appearances and media articles.

The young actor is known for his role in “Dexter” where he played Jonah Michael as well as for his work in 22 episodes of ABC Family’s “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” as well as MTV’s “Awkward,” Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101,” and many others.

“Brando is an extremely talented actor who brings a lot to the table. We’re very pleased to have him with us,” said Laura Russo (“Road Reps”), the film’s director, writer and producer. “He will be pivotal to the success of our crowdfunding campaign as well as the production of ‘Dead Stream’ where he’ll bring his amazing energy and outstanding talent to our technological thriller.”

The “Dead Stream” Indiegogo campaign aims to raise awareness and support for the proposed film which is completing its final funding now before an estimated pre-production date of March 2018. The film tells the story of young technology genius, Alan, who is on the brink of success with his new high-speed neural network smart phone, an artificial intelligence technology that’s sure to change the world. But it ultimately leads him into an uncontrollable spiral of murder and mayhem when the free-thinking anomaly he’s created conjures up evil and plays him at his own game.

“We have an exciting story, a great director/writer and strong team behind this movie and this Indiegogo effort will help put us over the top with our potential investors who will see the support it’s generating and its likelihood for success,” said Executive Producer Doug Wirth (“Dead Man’s Bluff”).
