Billy Crystal to Serve As L.A. Clippers Analyst on Jan. 31
LOS ANGELES – Comedian Billy Crystal will be serving as the Los Angeles Clippers color analyst for one game only when he takes the microphone at the Jan. 30 NBA game between the Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Crystal has been a season-ticket holder for the team since 1985, when the team played its games at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. In an interview, Clippers veteran announcer Ralph Lawler said he and Crystal have been talking basketball for years and said he felt it would be a good fun to share that on television.
In the past, Lawler has had guest analysts during game broadcasts, including most recently, Mike Fratello, Hubie Brown and Bill Walton who have worked with Lawler previously and will reportedly return for additional games during the season.
