A24 Picks Up the Porn Industry Film Drama 'Pleasure'

LOS ANGELES – Production house A24 has picked up the porn industry film drama "Pleasure," from Swedish writer-director Ninja Thyberg after making its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Sofia Kappel stars as a young Swedish woman trying to break into the adult film industry in Los Angeles with the stage name Bella Cherry in Thyberg's feature debut. A24 reportedly plans to release both, an uncensored version, alongside a new R-Rated version, later this year.

"Pleasure" had been previously announced as an official selection title for Cannes 2020. The cast includes Revika Anne Reustle, Evelyn Claire, Chris Cock, Dana DeArmond, Kendra Spade, Jason Toler, Lance Hart, Mark Spiegler and Eva Melander.

The film is produced by Eliza Jones, Markus Waltå, and Erik Hemmendorff and executive produced by Pape Boye and Violaine Pichon of Versatile.
