Apple TV+ Cancels Joseph Gordon-Levitt's 'Mr. Corman' After One Season


LOS ANGELES – Apple TV+ has cancelled "Mr. Corman," Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s teacher dramedy after one season.


According to TheWrap, the series – which Gordon-Levitt created, directed, wrote, and produced in partnership with A24, stars the veteran actor as Josh Corman, an elementary school teacher in the Los Angeles suburb of the San Fernando Valley. Arturo Castro (“Broad City") plays Corman’s roommate, Victor Morales.


Playing his mother and sister are Debra Winger and Shannon Woodward respectively, along with Juno Temple ("Ted Lasso") and musician Logic. Other cast members include Lucy Lawless, Hugo Weaving, Amanda Crew, Emily Tremaine, Jamie Chung and Veronica Falcon.


Despite earning mostly positive reviews after its Aug. 6 premiere from critics who gave it a 70 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and the audience score was 65 percent, the show was unable to earn a pickup for a second season.
