Carrot Top's Condition is Improving After Hospitalization

LAS VEGAS — Carrot Top's representative Jami Schlicher said the popular comic’s condition was improving in a hospital

following a Sept. 18 suicide attempt.

"Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care. He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him," Schlicher told TMZ about the comedian, whose legal name is Scott Christopher Thompson.

Thompson has received an outpouring of public support since news of his hospitalization emerged.

"Hearing those stories and feeling that support has meant a great deal to him during his recovery," Schlicher added.

"Scott and his family remain deeply grateful for the extraordinary kindness and continue to ask that his privacy be respected,” she added.

Thompson has performed in Las Vegas for decades, with his prop-comedy residency at the Luxor dating back to 2005.

His performances there have been canceled indefinitely.
