Drew Barrymore's Cosmetics Line Is Shutting Down After 13 Years

LOS ANGELES — The cosmetics line Flower Beauty, co-owned by Drew Barrymore and Maesa, is shutting down after 13 years of providing affordable cosmetics to its clientele.

The line is available at Target, Walmart and CVS as Barrymore is winding down the business. Barrymore has not publicly spoken about the end of Flower Beauty but Maesa issued a statement regarding the closure, telling the Beauty Independent "Flower Beauty will always hold a special place in Maesa’s story. It was the first brand that Maesa incubated, in close partnership with its visionary founder, Drew Barrymore. Born in 2012, Flower was one of the first independent brands to challenge large heritage CPG incumbents in the mass channel."

The brand added: "As part of our strategic evolution, Maesa has decided to exit the color cosmetics category. This shift allows us to focus on areas with greater growth potential and align our resources with our core strengths and consumer demands. We have been fortunate to have Drew Barrymore as a great founder partner, and we are grateful for the incredible journey we have shared."

Although Flower Beauty is gone, Barrymore will continue to operate the Beautiful brand of home goods. This line is known for its kitchen appliances, cookware and other kitchen gadgets and tools that are available exclusively at Walmart.

Besides her home goods line, Barrymore also has her name on a line of eyewear and hair goods that are branded as Flower but are not the same as Flower Beauty. All of the talk show host’s brands exist under the umbrella of Barrymore Brands.
