Edie Falco to Play Hillary Clinton in 'Impeachment: American Crime Story'

LOS ANGELES – Edie Falco has been cast as Hillary Clinton for FX’s upcoming “Impeachment: American Crime Story.”

The former “Nurse Jackie” and “The Sopranos” star is the newest high-profile actor to join the new series focusing on 1998 impeachment of President Bill Clinton. Others who have joined the cast include Beanie Feldstein, who will star as Monica Lewinsky, with Clive Owen portraying Bill Clinton, Sarah Paulson as Linda Tripp, Margo Martindale as Lucianne Goldberg and Annaleigh Ashford as Paula Jones. Other cast members include Billy Eichner will star as Matt Drudge, while Betty Gilpin as Ann Coulter.

The show is based upon Jeffrey Toobin’s book “A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Story of the Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President.”

“Impeachment: American Crime Story,” was originally scheduled to air last September, but production was pushed back just before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. A premiere date for the series has not been announced.
