Elton John Partners to Auction Rocket Man Hoverboard to Benefit his Aids Foundation

LOS ANGELES – Elton John has partnered with Jadu and Sweet to auction a Rocket Man NFT hoverboard to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

Besides the NFT hoverboard, John will also be releasing a series of access tokens that will unlock a series of fan experiences as part of the Rocket NFT Club.

“Whilst I’m no metaverse expert (!) I wanted to make sure that my first NFT was something true to me, and collaborating with LGBTQ+ artist Voxel Bunny and Jadu on something so unique which benefits the Elton John AIDS Foundation for Pride month was the perfect opportunity.”

The Rocket Man hoverboard, produced by Jadu, is among the rarest items in the company’s collection, which includes boards created in collaboration with Grimes and Snoop Dogg. The Voxel Bunny-created Rocket Man hoverboard design pays homage to Elton John’s “Pinball Wizard” music video from 1975 with references a keyboard pinball machine. It also features John’s famed star-shaped glasses, piano keys and music notes from “Rocket Man.”
