LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Acclaimed dancer Julie Karn, known for the Netflix drama "Grand Army," has signed with Clear Talent Group in Los Angeles.
“I’m very excited to sign with Clear Talent Group and join with their amazing team of professionals,” Karn said. “I am looking forward to working together and explore the unique possibilities that lay ahead.”
Karn is the principal dancer for RADIX Dance Convention which hosts classes and workshops for dancers as well as presents dance competitions for dancers in the United States and Canada. She is set to perform with the organization this fall when it kicks off its 2023 tour of 24 cities in the U.S.
The Toronto native comes to Clear Talent having performed in a variety of films, musical productions and live performances from such artists as Nick Jonas, Jason Derulo, Cascada, Shawn Desman, Serena Ryder, Kira Isabella, KC Roberts and the Live Revolution.
Karn’s past experience includes having danced in the popular Netflix drama series “Grand Army,” as well as last year's "Sneakerella," a film comedy from the Walt Disney Co. where she portrayed a dancer. She has also appeared in Canada's popular talent show series "The Next Star," where she was a featured dancer along with various contestants as well as performing in China for the "Dear Life Asia Tour" with artist Danny Fernandes.
“I always had a great affinity to music, dancing and performing for a live audience,” she said. “I get a big boost of energy when I hear the crowd enjoying the show and showing their appreciation. There is nothing quite like it when you’re a performer and you feel that response that you helped create.”
Karn is also known for having played professional soccer for FF USV Jena in Germany’s top women’s league where she was a standout player. Most recently, she played for ASA Tel-Aviv in Israel.
Karn is represented by Meisha Goetz of Clear Talent Group. The agency is online at ClearTalentGroup.com.
