LOS ANGELES – Felix Kammerer, Albrecht Schuch, Aaron Hilmer, Moritz Klaus and Edin Hasanovic have joined the cast of "All Quiet on the Western Front," Netflix's adaptation of Erich Maria Remarque's classic anti-war novel.

Directed by Edward Berger (“Patrick Melrose”), the film follows the story of a young German soldier’s terrifying experiences and distress on the western front during World War I. The cast includes Daniel Brühl, Devid Striesow and Andreas Döhler. Shooting is currently underway near Prague in the Czech Republic.

Remarque’s book was adapted by Lewis Milestone shortly after its publication, winning the 1930 Academy Award for best picture and best director. A Golden Globe-winning TV movie from Delbert Mann followed in 1979. The film is produced by Malte Grunert of Amusement Park and Netflix.

The film is scheduled to make its premiere in 2022.
