Paul McCartney Plays Surprise Show at Small Club in Brazil

BRASILIA, Brazil – McCartney performed a surprise concert in a small club in Brasilia before an estimated 300 people tonight.

In a space comparable to the Cavern Club in Liverpool where the Beatles began their career, the 81-year-old McCartney performed a 22-song set that included hits from the group and his solo career despite the intense summer heat.

McCartney announced on social media Tuesday morning that he would be performing later that day at the Clube do Choro to mark the arrival of his "Got Back" tour to Brazil.

The option to purchase tickets was only released to those who had already bought seats for his show scheduled for Thursday at the Mané Garrincha stadium.

McCartney's tour will include the cities of Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Sao Paulo, Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro in the next two weeks.
