SNL will open its season this weekend with Chris Rock as host and Megan Thee Stallion as musical guest. The show will then present five straight weeks of live shows before the year-end holiday break.
The teaser, which was released Thursday, presented Carrey and Rudolph as they get into character as Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his VP running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris. In the teaser, the actors are shown putting on hair, makeup and costumes before smiling and staring at the camera.
Carrey marks the third actor to portray Biden on SNL this year, following stints by Woody Harrelson and former veteran cast member Jason Sudeikis, who had played the former vice president during the Obama administration.
The show also announced Alec Baldwin will continue to play Donald Trump in the show’s sketches this season.
